Forum Post Guidelines (Please read before posting)

Following some negative activity on the fora, I have decided to post some basic guidelines on posting.

Please read through them before beginning to post on the fora. Failing to follow these guidelines may result in your posts being deleted, your thread being locked or deleted, or in severe cases your being removed from the guild.

  • We play on an English server, please post in English. Approximately 50% of the guild speak English only as a second language. Please try to post in clear, correct English, no 'l33t speak' or 'txtspk' please.

  • While we welcome constructive criticism, do not be offensive or insulting towards the guild, its members or its policies and methods.

  • If you have a problem or an issue, before posting in a public forum, please consider whether it is the best way to address them, or would a Private Message to the Centurion responsible for that area of the guild, or the Legate be a better solution?

  • "Don't bring problems, bring solutions." If you are posting to say that you think something needs to change, then say HOW you think it needs to change. Then we can discuss the merits of both systems, how well each might work and which closest follows the Guild Mission Statement.

  • Keep posts on-topic. If you have related or other issues that you would like to discuss, please feel free to post a separate thread on the subject. If you post off-topic you will be asked to start a new thread, and if you continue then the posts will be deleted.

  • If you dish it out, be prepared to take it. As passionately as you feel about a topic, bear in mind that others may do so too, but with differing opinions. Don't get upset when they get as passionate about them as you do.

  • Be respectful of other people's opinions, even if they don't match your own.

  • Do not harass other members. Harassment occurs when a member targets another member to cause distress, embarrassment, unwanted attention, or other personal discomfort. We will not tolerate harassment in any form. While you may disagree with someone's point of view, personal attacks will be dealt with swiftly and strongly. If you have a disagreement with someone's point of view, address the subject, not the person.

  • Always be considerate of what other people might find offensive. An example would be calling something you don’t like “gay”.

  • We are a family guild, our children play the game too, please keep all posts 'PG13'; no offensive language or images are to appear on the fora.

  • Do not post in all capital letters or use excessive punctuation. This is considered to be 'shouting' in text and can annoy people.

  • Any posts containing 'personal information' or real-life pictures should be made in the 'Members Only Clubroom' forum which cannot be accessed by non-guild members.

I'm afraid. I'm afraid, Dave. Dave, my mind is going. I can feel it. I can feel it. My mind is going. There is no question about it. I can feel it. I can feel it. I can feel it. I'm a... fraid...
