Is there something that you've always vaguely wondered about the game or the guild, but never got round (or got up the courage) to ask? Post your question here, and the officers and other knowledgeable types will take a crack at answering it.

[I unstickied the previous "Ask a Question" thread, since the answers there are rather out of date.]

No purple in the dwarven hair options; two shades of black are as close as they get.

(But no barber is touching Tamsk's beard, dammit.)

CT_raidassist doesn't seem available on Curse (which does all the hard work of unzipping and placing the files in the right place for me) and apparently it's a must have addon for raiding.

How does one go about finding and installing addons not available on Curse? I'd usually get Leopard to set it up for me, but he won't be around near my computer for a while...

Kissitbetter: You download it ( http://www.ctmod.net/downloads/ ) and basically unzip it in the folder called c:\...\world of warcraft\interface\addons\

If anyone's using Ora2, I suggest trying Ora3, it's still in beta, but the functionality is outstanding. Ora2 can be downloaded through Curse I believe.

The only L80 'Darkmoon' stuff comes from cards made by inscriptors and doesn't actually involve the Faire, or going to it.

The "exotic goods" vendor Lhara can have limited-supply WotLK stuff in stock; [Arctic Fur], [Frost Lotus], a pouch of blue gems, Crystallized <element>, that sort of thing. Probably not worth making a special trip, but if you happen to be going by the Faire site, take a look.

I understand that since patch 3.2 XP is now gained in battlegrounds. However recently I watched my daughter play some battlegrounds and there was no indication she was gaining XP (although she would like to). I looked in the various option screen but couldn't see anything about it (no toggle to switch XP on / off).

Can anyone enlighten me?

Only thing I can think of is that she has visited that one particular rogue in Stormwind Keep. For the modest fee of 10G he can lock (and unlock) your XP-bar, preventing any XP gain whatsoever (neither through quests or killing mobs).

I am not sure how this would work in battlegrounds though.

Turning off XP would mean that you'd only be matched in battlegrounds against other players who've also turned off XP; since that will generally mean "twinks", you'd probably notice it.

It'll probably just be a matter of which battleground she was playing in, and how well her faction was doing; for example, I believe WSG only awards XP for flag captures by your team, so if you lose x-0, you won't be getting any experience for that match.

The Valley's the best place for XP, no doubt about that.

At the same rogue hiding in the corner of the Battlemasters' room in Stormwind Keep where you turned it off, for the same 10 gold fee.

XP gain should be on by default - it would only be off if you specifically switched if off.

I understood that XP gain in BGs was tied to achieving specific objectives (like capturing bases, etc.).
