Leatherworking Quests

All Manufacturing Professions have their specific quests, in order to progress your skill and get some new patterns. Here are the LW ones and the mats necessary for them:

The first quest Wild Leather Armor just requires you to bring him:
10x Thick Leather

This opens up 3 quests where you need to make him stuff:

[Wild Leather Shoulders]

Handing these in then opens up 2 more 'supply quests:

Materials Needed:

When you hand those in he'll give you a quest to take a letter to the LW trainer in Darnassus to get the Pattern for [Wild Leather Cloak]

And that's it So...

12x Heavy Silken Thread
7x Wildvine

You can, oddly enough, buy the thread from Pratt himself.

Any guild leatherworker make [Twilight Dragonscale Cloak] yet?

I can't yet, I Believe your best bet is probably Vada or one of Drae's alts, you can check in-game now on the Guild pane.

I haven't got any of the recipes that require a chaos orb yet. I'll make it a priority! Trouble is they only drop in heroics, and I'm not geared for them yet.

...and Chaos Orbs are Bind on Pick-up at the moment so Jugger can't get you one.
(I believe they are also only rollable on if you have a sufficiently levelled profession to use them. That may only be when using LFD though)

Indeed, they are supposed to be BoP until replaced by something higher in the future, and are only available to you if you can use them.

So far I've seen nothing for sale that required them. The level down items, that only require huge quantities of leather, dragonscales and volatiles, are currently selling for around, or a little less, than the mats cost. Fine for levelling LW, you put 10K gold in and get nearly £10K gold back. The orbs do stop you dead when you reach 525 until you can farm heroics.

Edit to add, looking through I can get in to a few heroics even with the gear I've got now, so maybe it's not going to be a problem to start a few quick runs and farm orbs.
